Slotting is the highest-leverage decision in a warehouse: travel typically consumes around half of a picker’s time, and travel is a direct function of where product sits. Smart Slotting attacks it with an optimisation engine built from real operations — not a generic solver with a warehouse skin.

The engine is fully configurable without code. Scoring blends pick and case velocity with distance to staging and bulk; hard rules enforce capacity, category eligibility, restricted areas and priority zones; soft rules manage congestion by penalising pick-density clustering. Multi-pass execution handles strict assignment, under-fill, mixed residual and partitioned slots — the way a senior slotting engineer would actually sequence the work.

Every run ends with evidence: before/after travel distances, per-category summaries, movement lists and heatmaps. Accept the run and its KPIs become your new baseline; reject it and nothing moves.
